Advanced post-production

3D & VFX

Original environments, built and rendered for the screen.

I work on 3D and VFX from look development through final render, for filmmakers and advertisers. That includes rendering for photorealism, art direction, environment building, lighting, camera work, rigging, and animation.

I also teach this work, including virtual production with motion capture and camera tracking.

Archangel

VFX Supervisor on a science-fiction universe created, written, and directed by Hollywood screenwriter David Bourla, in his directorial debut. The project is still in progress. I created and led the entire CG pipeline, managing a team of 3D modelers and a lighting director. David films the live-action parts on a set he constructed.

Blender

Modeled original assets and worked from existing ones. Rigged and animated the spaceships, then baked and edited their materials for export to Unreal Engine.

Unreal Engine

Built space scenes and alien planet landscapes, with weather systems. Created custom spaceship and camera animation, all in Sequencer.

Rokoko Studio

Captured motion for some of the characters in the scenes.

Nuke

Added camera distortion, worked with EXR layers to make the renders look real, and handled green-screen compositing.
